Let's talk

Cookie policy

Last updated:

Which cookies this website may use, what they are for and how to accept or reject them. Analytics and advertising cookies are only activated with your consent.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information from one visit to the next. Some are needed for the site to work; others are used to measure how it is used or to evaluate advertising campaigns.

Necessary cookies

This website does not need cookies to work. The only thing we store is your cookie choice, in your browser’s local storage (fm-consent), so we do not ask you again on every page. That information never leaves your device.

Analytics and advertising cookies

They are only activated if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. If you reject them or do not decide, none of these tools is loaded. We only use the ones we have active at any given time:

Google Analytics

Tells us, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, from which country and which pages they read.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors. Lasts 2 years.
  • _ga_<ID>: keeps the session state. Lasts 2 years.

Measures whether our Google ads lead to real enquiries (for example, a submitted form or a click on WhatsApp or the phone number).

  • _gcl_au: links the visit to the ad you clicked. Lasts 3 months.

Microsoft Clarity

Shows us anonymously how people navigate the site (clicks, scrolling, heatmaps) so we can find confusing parts and improve them. Clarity automatically masks the text you type in forms.

  • _clck: identifies the Clarity visitor. Lasts 1 year.
  • _clsk: groups the pages viewed in one session. Lasts 1 day.
  • CLID and MUID: Microsoft cookies that identify the browser in Clarity. Last 1 year.

How to change your choice

You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” button at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we delete these tools’ cookies and stop loading them. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

Who receives the data

Google and Microsoft process this data as providers and may do so on servers outside Costa Rica, mainly in the United States. You can read their policies at policies.google.com/privacy and privacy.microsoft.com. For more on how we handle your data, see our privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove tools, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
